About this drawing

This one-page comic was inspired by the topic "Smoke" at Illustration Friday.  I posted the cover for this comic as my entry that week, as I had not completed the post-processing and lettering.

Here you see the completed story, and as you can make out, if it were a movie, it'd be rated R for profanity and gore.  Fonts used for lettering the comic are created by Nate Piekos of Blambot, the font used for the title is called "Forgotten Futurist".  I do not remember where I got that font from.

Wow... Nasty Little Thing Productions is getting nastier nowadays.. What a concept.. smoke to melt you away... Chain smokers out there... are you taking note?
Maye you can send this comic or a censored version of it to some "Prevent Lung Cancer" society to use in their TV ad campaign

Kudos to you KMAN

Boy! I never thought you were capable of such profanity. This certainly goes against the holier-than-thou image that you used to project during the B.Tech!!
Anyway, I liked the er, giving-personality-to-the-characters in this comic more than the art. Well, the art looked like you were trying too hard to come up with something sinister.
But on the whole, liked it jolly well!

The drawings are pretty awesome and truly depict the evil ideas of manufacturers and damage associated with smoking. Your writing skills are damn good too, the profanity does make it real.
Point driven home !!!

Hey thanks everyone for the comments, really inspiring to see the response I've gotten to this comic! I'll get to work on the next one quickly :)

By the way, this has nothing to do with smoking nor is it intended to convey any sort of morals... it's all in good fun only, not meant to be taken seriously.

A bit of trivia for those who don't already know this stuff:

- Officer Trent is named after Trent Reznor of the band Nine Inch Nails (I'd actually called him Reznor in the original draft of the comic but that was too obvious!).
- All other characters are named after directors who could be considered the modern "greats", i.e. Michael Mann, Guillermo Del Toro, Robert Rodriguez, John Woo, David Fincher.
- The way the captions are written are inspired by the Crypt Keeper from "Tales from the Crypt" and Rob Zombie's writing on the comic "Rob Zombie's Spookshow International".

All right, I know, too much hype over something so little, but I CAN be proud, can't I?

Thanks once more, people, for your comments!

Dark Fate 2 — a Doom II map by Karthik Abhiram

Dark Fate 2 is a singleplayer level for Doom II, replacing MAP01.  It's a small-sized hellish level — and there's a walkthrough video as well.
