Last night, I was just switching channels at random and I noticed that HBO was showing Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives at 11:15 PM. I wasn't planning to watch it, but I ended up doing so anyway. After all, who am I to turn down a horror movie? This movie wasn't bad, but not very good either. I am not exactly a follower of the Friday the 13th series so I don't know how this one stands in comparison with the others (I've only watched a couple of the others). This one was written and directed by Tom McLoughlin. It had quite an idiotic opening with Tommy Jarvis (Thom Mathews) and a friend going to Jason's grave to destroy his body - unfortunately a lightning bolt strikes Jason and resurrects him! (uhhh??) Anyway, it's all good fun after that as Jason slashes his way through, well, anyone who comes his way. I thought the film had some good scare and death scenes (besides, that Jason guy is always creepy!!), but not all of them worked, and what was up with all the jokes? I thought they detracted from the scare factor. The acting also seemed quite bad to me!
Tomorrow, December 2 is the day my Final Year Engineering Project starts. I'll talk about that in greater detail in a later update (mostly tomorrow). I am looking forward to it though! Tomorrow is also Nelly Furtado's birthday, as I read at ShitOnTheRadio.com. I also listened to the Whoa, Nelly! album this afternoon, after a long time.
Speaking of music, I also got a 2-minute MP3 clip of that song, She Said, by Collective Soul (from the Scream 2 soundtrack). I think it's a beautiful song, I've listened to that clip a lot of times.
Dark Fate 2 is a singleplayer level for Doom II, replacing MAP01. It's a small-sized hellish level — and there's a walkthrough video as well.
