After the Project Design Presentation at ROC on 17th, we all started our coding on 18th (according to the schedule they've given us).  Actually on 18th, we (that is, the team I am part of) didn't do that much of coding - we basically planned out what we were going to do over the next few days.  We fixed up certain things like a coding style that we would all follow, how we would name our variables, functions, etc.  Today though, we wanted to get some good amount of work done.  But sometime in the afternoon we got held up at one point.  It took us about 4 hours of discussion before we got a clear idea of how to proceed.  Anyway we finally got started in the coding of our device driver.  I'm very happy that we atleast got some work done today!

We actually made a document explaining that coding style that I mentioned we were going to follow for our project.  Pretty interesting.  Another nice thing in our project is that we're going to put in quotes in our project files.  One of my comments that appears in the bottom of a header file goes like this -

A brace in place will help you avoid the terror
caused when your program gives you a compilation error!

Tomorrow I probably will not be going to college.  The basic reason is that I just want a break, I've been sleeping late and getting up early the past few days, and I want to relax.  I've also got this irritation in my left eye that's been troubling me today, and hopefully a bit of rest will do me good.

December 20, 1999 - three years ago - was the day I started my Engineering Course at my college.  Our class is going to have a small sort of party after college tomorrow to celebrate that.  Speaking of college, there is one Susheel who I have been talking to through email recently - he is studying in my college (III Year), but the strange thing is that I've never met him in person!  Probably because I'm rarely at college nowadays, heh.  Anyway he told me that he'd recently put up a site, and he wanted me to mention it here.  The site is http://myperception.tripod.com, go and have a look.
