Ah, an update to talk about some of the things that have happened recently... First, on 22nd, I watched The Guru in Sterling theatre. I thought it was a pretty good movie. Definitely not a family movie though, heh.
I also managed to get the whole Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines trailer. What I did was to let the trailer load fully, then copy it from the cache! Anyway, the trailer starts off with some glimpses of a battle with machines. And then, Arnold Schwarzenegger's T-800 Terminator comes to a grown-up John Connor and tells him "John Connor. It is time." The movie also has a new Terminator - a female one, the T-X (Kristianna Loken) - a stronger, faster, more intelligent Terminator, which wants to kill us all. And the T-800 and John Connor (Nick Stahl) apparently have to stop it. I don't really know what to make of this scenario. You see, I thought the future timeline with Skynet and the machines would not happen, after what happened at the end of Terminator 2: Judgment Day. Wonder how they will continue the story. This trailer also had glimpses of what seemed to be a war fought between Terminator endoskeleton robots. It seems like there's a lot of action in this movie and I think it'll be a good movie too, but I only hope they don't make it the toned-down PG-13 type. By the way, the movie is directed by Jonathan Mostow, and will release in the US on July 2, 2003.
I also downloaded a couple of Doom WADs recently. First, there is Steve Clark's Ultimate Doom (for ZDoom, latest version) Episode called 007: Licence to Spell DooM, which I haven't had the time to play fully, but from what I did see, it is a terrific piece of work! Sarge Baldy (Owen Lloyd) also released a small Ultimate Doom map called Waste Treatment Center #911 (nothing to do with Osama, heh), which was really nice too.
Today I came home from Project Work at ROC at around 8 PM (tangling with FIFO Control Register, and also on how to transmit a whole file over the serial port). And I went to Doom Center and was happy to see the latest update - Christian Hansen has released his latest Doom work, called Rip it, Tear it, Smash it! - two levels for Episode 2 of Ultimate Doom. I played both levels almost immediately after downloading and they are both great (I expected nothing less). Go to his site and download them, you won't be disappointed at all!
I am waiting to see Die Another Day, we will be going for that after Varun returns. Tomorrow I hope I get to see Kaante, my parents and me have been planning to see it for the past few days but no tickets so far!
And finally, a very MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR to you!
Dark Fate 2 is a singleplayer level for Doom II, replacing MAP01. It's a small-sized hellish level — and there's a walkthrough video as well.
