Mike Myers reprises his role as Austin Powers, British secret agent who was frozen in the 60s and reanimated in the 90s. Austin is enjoying a honeymoon with his wife Vanessa (Elizabeth Hurley) when he finds out she was a robot! Anyway, he now has a new mission. It seems the villain, Dr. Evil (also Mike Myers) has a new plan to get rid of Powers - he has built a time machine, using which he plans to steal Powers's "mojo" (the "life force" without which he will be unable to attract women and unable to defeat the bad guys).
And so it happens - Dr. Evil and company go back in time to the 60s, when Austin was still frozen - and a character named Fat Bastard (also played by Mike Myers) who is in league with Dr. Evil, steals his "mojo". With Powers out of the way, Dr. Evil will be able to carry out his evil world-domination plots. The British Intelligence, fortunately, have also constructed a time machine, and they send Austin back to the 60s, where he teams up with another secret agent, Felicity Shagwell (Heather Graham), to stop Dr. Evil and to retrieve his all-important "mojo".
At the time of writing this, I have not seen the first movie, Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery, nor the third, Austin Powers in Goldmember. This present movie though, I found to be a very funny and well made comedy. I guess it will not appeal to those who are easily offended, because this movie does have a steady supply of vulgar jokes. Personally though, I don't have a problem with movies that feature the so-called "toilet humour", and I enjoyed it. It's a colourful and lively movie, with an awesome performance by Mike Myers. There is a hip-hop/rap music number called Just the Two of Us, which is sung by Dr. Evil to his clone, Mini-Me (Verne Troyer) - this I liked a lot, and there are two very ingeniously done "overlapping dialogue" sequences which were very funny! The plot of course isn't meant to be taken seriously at all (Austin's boss tells him not to worry about the complications that would result because of his time travel... and then looks directly at the camera and tells us, the audience, the same thing), you're just meant to have a good time. Nice music score too. Recommended for those who don't mind an occasional dirty joke or two (or in this case, a whole lot of them).
Running Time: 95 minutes | Country: US | Genre: Comedy
Dark Fate 2 is a singleplayer level for Doom II, replacing MAP01. It's a small-sized hellish level — and there's a walkthrough video as well.
