Watched on STAR Movies. Brilliant Steven Spielberg movie!
Watched on HBO. Not bad, but I thought it started getting a bit silly as it progressed.
Watched on Zee MGM.
Watched on STAR Movies. Martin Scorsese's film is terrific to look at and very absorbing, but I thought it became a bit abstract.
Watched on STAR Movies. I actually saw this movie in 1996, it has been a long time since. Scary, well made movie.
Watched on STAR Movies. I had seen part of this movie before, but this time I got to see the whole thing. Very involving movie, I loved the music score!
Watched on STAR Movies. Never saw this movie fully before, I had a tape with about 20 mins removed.
Watched on HBO. Thought it was a bit slow moving in the beginning, and it had some nice action scenes but overall not that much impact.
Watched on STAR Movies. Not bad.
Watched on STAR Movies. Wow. It's great to see a horror movie that is genuinely scary!!
Watched on Zee MGM. Unusual horror movie from director Frank Henenlotter. Low-budget, imaginative, gory fun.
Watched on STAR Movies. Nice action/martial-arts movie with a nice performance from Jean-Cluade Van Damme.
Watched on HBO. Great music, nice action, but the plot got sillier as the movie progressed.
Watched in the theatre. Brilliant movie, fantastic acting, great music.
I saw this before in 1998, saw now on STAR Movies. Enjoyed it a lot more than before, for some reason!
Watched it on HBO. I saw it many years back in the theatre (probably 1993 or something).
Watched in the theatre. One of the few horror movies that actually scared me!
Tim Burton's version is a very well made movie with excellent effects. The changes to the story, I thought made it more complicated, though.
I think this is the scariest movie I've ever seen. Seen on HBO, this was a censored version of the 2000 expanded edition.
Seen on HBO. Two problems: not scary at all, story doesn't make much sense. But it's a lot of fun.
Seen on HBO. The Chucky doll effects were awesome but otherwise I didn't think the movie was that good.
Seen in the theatre. Spectacular! Can't wait for the third movie!
Seen on STAR Movies. A short, action filled sequel with unintentionally funny bits!
Seen on HBO. A direct-to-video film, it was enjoyable.
Seen on HBO. A made-for-TV movie, this was pretty ridiculous.
Seen on STAR Movies. Involving comedy/drama.
Seen in the theatre. Dark, violent action movie, very well made.
Seen in the theatre. Fun movie.
Seen on STAR Movies. Last time I didn't get to see it fully on HBO. Absolutely fantastic movie.
Seen on STAR Movies, right after Star Trek: First Contact. Well done comedy/drama from director/writer Nagesh Kukunoor.
Seen on AXN. Fun Home Alone style action comedy.
Seen on HBO. From the director of Commando, this is a fun martial arts action movie featuring a great combination of Dolph Lundgren and Brandon Lee. The kind of movie I'd like to watch over and over again!
Seen on AXN. Starring Gary Daniels and Bryan Genesse, it's an action-kickboxing-western movie set in the future. Silly stuff, and I have no idea what the title means.
Seen on STAR Movies. Denzel Washington in the true story of Rubin "Hurricane" Carter - boxer who was wrongly convicted for murder.
Seen in the theatre. I liked this movie better than the first, thanks to it's darker, more spooky tone. An imaginative fantasy.
Seen on STAR Movies. Nice comedy.
Seen on HBO. Not scary at all, redeemed by it's sense of humour.
Seen on HBO. Guy Ritchie's follow up to Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels is more of the same fun!
Seen on HBO. Yeah, baby!
Seen on STAR Movies. Fast paced action thriller.
Seen in the theatre. Excellent movie from Steven Spielberg, with great acting from Tom Hanks and Leonardo DiCaprio!
Seen on STAR Movies. Melodramatic.
Seen in the theatre. Slick well-made action movie, with Jet Li, DMX. Nice soundtrack.
Seen on STAR Movies. Continuous laughs!
Seen on AXN. Lots of fun, lots of action.
Seen on HBO. Violent action is the only redeeming factor of this otherwise bad movie. Movie started at 12 AM on 29th May.
Seen in the theatre. Terrific horror movie.
Seen on HBO. Pretty twisted.
Seen on AXN. Nicely acted drama.
Seen on HBO. Creepy, very stylish supernatural thriller.
Seen in the theatre. Better than the first one definitely, excellent movie.
Seen on HBO. Nicely acted spy thriller, as a movie it was OK.
Seen in a video theatre (Movie Dome). The first movie I'm watching after coming to TAPMI! This was a generally good Jim Carrey comedy, though I didn't like it as much as the Ace Ventura movies.
Seen in a video theatre (Movie Dome). It didn't compare with T2 (I didn't expect it to), but it wasn't a bad movie.
Seen in a video theatre (Movie Galaxy). I love the anthology format, and that's why this movie was right up my alley! Also, I loved it's bizarre sense of humour. Good mix of suspense, horror, fantasy, the supernatural, the plain weird and quite a bit of comedy too.
Seen in a video theatre (Movie Dome). A science-fiction, romance, musical, family entertainer, all rolled into one. The fact that the basic plot is a mix between E.T. and Forrest Gump is frightening enough.
Seen in a video theatre (Shantala). The third movie in the American Pie series, this was an entertaining film (has some really disgusting jokes though, so it's not for those who are easily offended).
Seen in a video theatre (Movie Dome). Two great horror movie villains (Freddy Krueger and Jason Voorhees) battle it out in the same film. And it's directed by Ronny Yu. A B-grade horror movie done with the class and style of an A-grade film, it's a treat for those who have a wicked sense of humour.
Seen in a video theatre (Shantala). Director Kaizad Gustad blends the fashion world and the underworld in this offbeat action movie. Now the official release date is September 19, I got to see a "Working Copy", which might explain the lack of flow in the movie (or maybe it IS that way on purpose?).
This movie was played on the bus while I was travelling from Manipal to Hyderabad on my Term Break. A two and a half hour plus time waster of a Telugu movie, gives new meaning to the term "plotless". A dumb movie (and I mean that in a bad way).
This movie was played on the bus while I was travelling from Manipal to Hyderabad on my Term Break. I was a bit apprehensive about watching another Telugu movie just after the previous one, but fortunately this was a good movie. A very violent and disturbing revenge saga, it was overlong and at times stretched credibility... but like I said, well done.
Ah, back home again! This movie was shown on STAR Movies on Sep. 1, and I asked my mother to record it. And I watched it after coming home. A great sequel to a great movie (Project A is my favourite Jackie Chan movie).
Watched on STAR Movies (actually, Sep. 16, 1 AM). An okay horror movie, with oversized man eating slugs. Watchable, but be warned that it is badly acted and contains some bad dialogue!
Watched on STAR Movies (actually, Sep. 16, 2:30 AM or so). An offbeat murder mystery. Stephen Baldwin is a businessman who sleeps during the day (with his eyes open!) and goes for walks at night. One fine night, he sees a man being killed. Stylishly told story, but not totally clear.
STAR Movies showed this on Sep. 5 and it was recorded for me! I thoroughly enjoyed this second outing, thanks to the imaginative mind and storytelling style of Writer-Producer-Editor-Cinematographer-Director Robert Rodriguez. Mr. Rodriguez rules!
Watched on HBO. This is one of those movies I should have watched when it originally came out! Anyway, this was a well made action film (director is Richard Donner) with good acting from Sly Stallone and Julianne Moore, and excellent acting from Antonio Banderas, as the hitman who wants to prove himself #1 by killing them both. Writers of this movie are the Wachowski Brothers!
Seen on HBO. I'd watched this on a "just about decent" videotape before. This time the print was very good and I appreciated the movie more.
This is already one of my all-time favourite movies, but the reason I'm mentioning it again is that this time, I got to see the uncut version (rented it on CD). Need I say it's BRILLIANT?
My friend Ganeshan had given me this movie on a CD for my birthday many months ago, I brought it with me to TAPMI and got to see it only on this date. I actually started the movie at about 2:30 AM, so it ended past 4. Disappointing entry in the Star Trek movie series.
Seen at Movie Dome. Starts off like a conventional mystery, with ten people coming together at a motel, being killed off one by one - but the eventual resolution of the story is something very different from what you'd expect. Good movie.
Seen at Shanthala. It's a Quentin Tarantino movie!! Uma Thurman is The Bride, who wakes up after 4 years in a coma, wanting revenge on the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad (of which she was a former member, before her boss Bill decided to kill her). Amazing, amazing movie!
Seen at Shanthala, 5:30 PM. The third installment is a PG-13 rated movie so it's cleaner than the previous two entries (which I haven't seen). Basically a Hot Shots!-type spoof movie, with The Ring, Signs and 8 Mile as the primary targets. Enjoyable!
Seen on HBO (9 PM). This is the original Japanese movie, directed by Nakada Hideo, on which the 2002 U.S. remake was based. Very creepy movie, nicely done too. A.K.A. Ringu.
Seen on HBO (11 PM). Well-made law thriller/drama with Tom Cruise getting a high-paying job at a top law firm in Memphis, only to find they've got links with the Mafia.
Seen on HBO. I watched this in the theatre some years ago.
Watched at The Den. Compact, well acted and well made thriller with Colin Farrell as a publicist who is held hostage in a phone booth by an unseen sniper!
I got the CD and watched this. An amazing thriller with Guy Pearce as a detective who is trying to find his wife's killer - but he has no short term memory! It was Nov. 30, 2 AM - 4 AM when I saw it.
Seen at the Prasad IMAX theatre at Hyderabad. I thought this was a nice conclusion to the trilogy, though I expected a more complex movie. The visual effects were simply stunning and better than anything I've seen!
Dark Fate 2 is a singleplayer level for Doom II, replacing MAP01. It's a small-sized hellish level — and there's a walkthrough video as well.
