The Lord of the Rings: The Two Trailers

Just after I made the last update on this site, I downloaded two trailers.  These were both trailers for The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, a movie which I am eagerly waiting to watch!!  The first one was the teaser trailer.  I don't know why it was called a "teaser trailer", because it was just like a normal trailer.  The second one was the latest The Two Towers trailer, and this was simply amazing!  I really can't wait to see this movie.  I started reading The Lord of the Rings back in June or so, but I had only read upto the part where Frodo, Sam, Merry and Pippin arrive at the Prancing Pony Inn.  After seeing these two trailers, I picked up where I left off, I'm reading the book again now!

On 25th, it was a holiday at ROC.  In the evening, my parents and myself watched Traffic, which I'd recorded earlier from Zee MGM.  This was a brilliant movie, I loved the way the whole thing was filmed - the look and the feel (colours), the direction (keeping track of so many simultaneous plot threads) and the editing (awesome use of switching camera angles, etc.), and of course, the characters and situations were excellent as well.  Highly recommended!

The next day at ROC, work continued on our project, but we got stuck up at one point.  We couldn't pass global variables between forms in Qt Designer!  We decided to think about this on Monday, because our minds were on tests that would be held at college the next day.  But still, at night, my parents and myself went to see Kaante.  I was eager to see this movie because it is a Reservoir Dogs imitation.  I finally got to see it, and after the movie was over I thought it was an okay attempt, but ultimately average movie.  Maybe I was just expecting too much from it.  Flashy shots, slow motion sequences, quick cutting techniques, etc. are nice when you place bits of them in a movie, but you don't go and shoot the WHOLE MOVIE using those techniques!  I don't regret watching it though.

Varun returned from his Goa trip today.  We had tests at college today, and I did pretty well in both (Data Warehousing and Robotics).  I watched part of Apocalypse Now Redux on STAR Movies but stopped watching after the first hour or so.  Some minutes back I finished downloading the all-new, updated version of Alien Vendetta.

Dark Fate 2 — a Doom II map by Karthik Abhiram

Dark Fate 2 is a singleplayer level for Doom II, replacing MAP01.  It's a small-sized hellish level — and there's a walkthrough video as well.
